Our Single Malt Whisky is made from the finest barley grown minutes from our distillery on the Saanich Peninsula. We mashed, fermented, distilled twice and aged it in once-used Bourbon barrels for 3 years in the tradition of Scotch Whisky. Notes of citrus and ripe pear give way to vanilla, cinnamon and clove, then a lingering malty finish and a whiff of sea air.

What do we mean by ‘Alternative Whisky’? …Alt Whisky is described as a modern, new world spirit made using alternative grains and techniques and by the whims and desires of the distiller them-self.

With that in mind, Ancient Grains was born. Distilled from BC barley, spelt, emmer, khorosan and einkorn-the ancestors of all modern grains and deeply significant to the culture and heritage of our province. Guaranteed to be one of the most unique whiskies one has ever laid lips to.

Aged in new American oak quarter-casks; notes of candied fruit and macadamia nuts combine with spicy notes of clove, allspice and smoke.

Canada’s first Genever celebrates a recipe dating back to the early 1600’s when the Dutch East India fleet roamed the seas in search of exotic spices.

Made from local malted barley and infused with more than 20 rare botanicals; from mugwort to wormwood, horehound to blessed thistle. Our ‘Dutch Courage’ is unique, complex, and a DEVINE must-try.

The Genever aroma is clean with an equal blend of herbal, floral, medicinal, and citrus. Slightly sweet and not unlike an un-aged Scotch.

This modern-day classic style of gin combines ten wild-gathered botanicals: juniper, coriander, orange peel, lavender, and spruce. Triple distilled from Vancouver Island wine grapes including our own estate-grown Pinot Gris and Grüner Veltliner. Bright, citrusy, stunningly smooth.

The Vin Gin aroma is fresh-picked spruce tips, lavender, and juniper. A secondary layer of exotic spices and fresh-squeezed citrus.

By adding wild sloe berries (a tiny member of the plum family) to our classic gin, we’ve brought an old English tradition to Canada. The result is a full-strength spirit that’s tart but with a delicious richness and depth of flavour backed by a subtle berry sweetness.

A bounty of flavours dominated by dried fruits, black liquorice, candied orange, sugar plums, and lavender. Balanced by traditional gin botanicals of juniper and coriander, fresh spruce tips and white pepper.

We love rum. Alas sugar cane doesn’t grow here in British Columbia; however we have some of the world’s finest honey. We fermented wild-gathered clover honey into a dry mead and distilled it twice in the style of a rich, elegant spirit. Crystal clear and full of spice, fruity, and floral notes in the style of a fine Caribbean rum. Perfect for classic cocktails.

Our classic Honey Shine has become a flagship spirit for us here at DEVINE. Made from 100% local honey; fermented, distilled, and aged on site in once-used casks. Soft caramel notes with a backbone of wood barrel spices. A rich mouthfeel identical to rum, with notes of Bourbon and Cognac. Finishing with a call-back to its namesake, honey.

Deliciously rich, elegantly smooth, warming, spicy, and just a little bit sweet.

Slivovitz – aka plum brandy – is a proud eastern European spirit to celebrate, to reflect, and everything in between. Its jammy plum sweetness is tempered with notes of almonds and oak; strong enough for bittersweet reflection; smooth enough to wrap you in a blanket of forgiveness.

Our 2020 batch was aged in former Glen Saanich 30L barrels for 18 months.

Crafted from island-grown white wine grapes and fortified by our house-distilled honey spirit. A classic James Bond martini ingredient. Light and easy to drink on its own or pair with tonic or soda, and in martinis or cocktails.

Our French-style white vermouth is elegant and bright with luscious apricot, spicy cinnamon, and floral layers of jasmine and chamomile.

This modern take on the original Turin, Italy Vermouth combines Vancouver Island white wine with our own craft spirit. Aromatized with more than 30 different botanicals. A useful aperitif and a friend of digestion for hundreds of years; enjoyed neat or as a brilliant addition to martinis and cocktails everywhere.

In a single sip one may taste familiar flavours of orange, clove, cardamom, rose, and juniper, or such obscurities as wormwood, gentian, and dittany of crete.

Our 2019 Chardonnay is made solely from Saanich Peninsula grapes. It is light-bodied, fruit-forward and contains notes of lemon, green apple and stone fruit.

The prefect toque to keep you warm from the outside. This toque is cuffed and embroidered with our DEVINE logo.

We are often complemented on the unique design of our spirit labels. Each label is lovingly designed by Saanich Peninsula local artist, Margaret Hansen. To develop each image, Margaret uses an old art form called linocut, a traditional  printmaking technique. A design is first cut into a linoleum surface with a sharp knife, v-shaped chisel or gouge. The raised areas represent the reversal (mirror image) of the parts shown printed. The linoleum sheet is then inked with a roller and printed onto paper. Margaret then digitizes each image for the production of our labels.

Free Pour Jenny’s creates small-batch, handcrafted cocktail bitters in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory (in northern Canada). These unique products received six medals at the 2020 Canadian Artisan Spirit Competition in the bitters category.

Rosehip – The fruit of the prickly wild rose is harvested in the fall, after the first frost. With hints of cinnamon, these bitters are great with gin! Try a cocktail with gin, fresh lime juice, simple syrup and Rosehip Bitters.

Solstice – These aromatic bitters are made with wild Yukon low-bush cranberries, molasses, vanilla pods, and star anise. Try Solstice Bitters in an Old-Fashioned, in coffee or hot chocolate, or with gin.

Rhubarb – Rhubarb grows like a weed in the Yukon! The delicate flavour of these bitters pairs well with gin, honey shine silver, and soda water. 

Cucumber Mint – Free Pour Jenny grows organic cucumbers and mint in her greenhouse… These bright bitters have hints of star anise, and pair well with gin.

Cranberry – Free Pour Jenny’s Cranberry Bitters are made using hand-picked Yukon low-bush cranberries. The boreal forest that surrounds and includes Whitehorse is ideal for picking these tart, bright red berries.

Organic Fair went way back to the roots of the soda making tradition for inspiration (think 1850’s)! They start with a base of organic fair trade cane sugar and the spring water from our farm in rural British Columbia. Then they extract the aromatic life force of herbs, spices, botanicals and fruits into sweet elixirs. Full of good things and major flavours all from nature, they are proud to offer you these fabulous syrups for your drinking pleasure.

Tumeric Lemongrass – Let the sunshine in with this citrusy mixer the colour of summer rays. With grounding notes of turmeric and a splash of lime and lemongrass, this complex combo will brighten your evenings as a refreshing soda. Rose Cardamom – The Organic Fair Rose Cardamom Soda Syrup combines the full bloom of rose with fresh green cardamom for a delightfully floral soda, drink mix, or a topping drizzled over coconut ice cream.
